Day 19
(oops, last minute update of her tail, I needed to fix the gradient at the base)
When you're little, it can be hard to see why a parent would ever have to leave for work in the early morning hours, harder still to wake prematurely, just in time to see it happen. It is hard to understand they are doing it to give the ones they love a better life.
I haven't drawn Rosemary's parent(s) yet, but this implies at least one parent has to deal with leaving for work early in order to make ends meet. Perhaps she had a nightmare, or more likely just heard noises in the middle of the night, and got to see someone leave, someone who didn't want to disturb her sleep and had no idea she was awake to see them go.
