“Aw, nuts!” That’s probably the only thought running through Chameleon Kid’s head as he finds himself face-to-face with three of the most dangerous goo fiends this side of New Jersey. Doureen—the purple, muscle-bound alien with a bad attitude; Malla—the mischievous pink slime experiment with a taste for trouble; and Oceana—the icy, calculating master of water and twisted mind games. And wouldn’t you know it? All three decided to show up at once, right when CK thought he might get a quiet night on patrol. Yeah, this definitely isn’t his day.
Before CK can come up with a clever quip, the trio lunges. A flurry of color—blue, pink, and violet—crashes toward him like a tidal wave of trouble. Luckily, years of acrobatics and reptilian reflexes save him from a messy end. He twists, flips, and slides across the docks, narrowly dodging the gelatinous onslaught. They’re fast, but he’s slipperier. “If I can just get them tangled up,” he mutters, “maybe they’ll do my job for me.”
And tangled they become. The three goo girls collide in a chaotic heap—fusing into something far worse than the sum of their parts. CK pauses mid-step, his eyes widening as he watches the horrifying metamorphosis. From the writhing puddle of slime rises a monstrous abomination: three heads sharing one body, a grotesque blend of their personalities and powers. And there it is, presented before him: “The Liquid Creature!”
The creature roars, voices overlapping in agony and confusion. Malla’s pink face trembles—she’s frightened, trying to separate—but Doureen’s rage and Oceana’s malice overpower her. The combined monster stumbles toward downtown, leaving steaming footprints on the pier. CK can only stare, heart pounding. “Malla didn’t deserve this,” he whispers. “She just wanted to play…” Now, the New Jersey hero must think fast—because if he can’t stop The Liquid Creature, there won’t be much left of the city to save.
