Buzz DeAngelo was once a brilliant but socially awkward entomologist—an insect prodigy whose fascination with honey bees bordered on obsession. To him, bees weren’t just insects; they were the architects of life itself. Without their pollination, humanity would crumble. But after being dismissed by the scientific community for his “bee supremacy” theories, Buzz decided that if the world wouldn’t listen—he’d make them.
Using his expertise in biomechanics, he engineered a bee-themed exosuit: an armored carapace laced with synthetic chitin fibers, powered by micro-thrusters modeled after a bee’s wingbeat frequency, and equipped with antennal transmitters capable of manipulating real swarms through pheromonal signals. Thus was born The Bee-Man—a buzzing menace with the strength of ten men and a sting for every skeptic. Eccentric, egotistical, and dangerously devoted to his hive-minded crusade, he vows to “bring order through pollination,” starting with New Jersey, home of his nemesis Chameleon Kid—and from there, the world.
