It was the beginning of autumn, as Feathers had worn a nice sweater he got from his caretaker, Slither Scale. The air was crisp, and the wind was blowing. The leaves that fell off the trees flutter in the wind, which landed in Feathers raking leaves as a chore listed by Slither. On that fine day, Feathers had just finished raking leaves when he saw an anaconda making her way to Slither's house. She has arms like Slither, wears lipstick and a straw hat. She was carrying a purse. He immediately recognized her. "Miss Rosie Scale!" he exclaimed, dropping the rake. "How unexpected to see you here!"
"Been a while, dear Feathers," Rosie said kindly. "I do remember seeing you when you were a chick in my brother's arms. Speaking of which, I just wonder if he's home."
As if on cue, Slither opened the door. "Feathers, are you done raking...?" He then saw Rosie. "Rosie! My dear sister!" He happily slithered to her. "I didn't expect you to drop by for a visit!"
"Life was boring at my place, so I thought I'd drop by for a visit, Slither," said Rosie.
"Oh, you're just in time for tea, dear sister! Feathers, come have tea with us."
"Yes, sir," Feathers said, fixing his diaper.
"Oh, I seem to notice you're still wearing your diapers, dear," Rosie said as they went inside the house.
"Yes, I do. Hatching out in the cold got me incontinent, from what the doctor told us," Feathers said.
Rosie's grin faded. "Oh. I'm so sorry to hear that. I hope my brother did his best to take care of you."
"Yes, I did," Slither said as they enter the living room. "I've been there to help him not to let his incontinence define him. I can understand how sad he sometimes felt to be stuck in diapers, but I made sure he..." He noticed Feathers about to sit in a stool. "No, no, Feathers, you sit in this chair right there. I had just finished fixing it this morning."
"Oh, okay, sir," Feathers said as he sat in a velvet chair.
Slither and Rosie sat on the couch as Slither continued, "Anyway, I made sure to be to keep Feathers happy and comfortable." He grabbed a tea pot and poured tea in the cups.
"And how did he handle his life, diapers and all?"
Slither looked at Feathers, expecting him an answer. Feathers was confused but then quickly answered, "Oh, I did fine. I made some friends, especially those who wear diapers like me."
"Ah, splendid. As long as you're doing fine in my brother's care, I'm happy."
Slither gave the cups to Feathers and Rosie, as he grabbed his own cup. "So, how were things in the swamp, Rosie?"
"Oh, just all flowers and sunlight, except for some rowdy neighbors arguing for no reason all the time."
Slither rolled his eyes. "Typical of neighbors these days," he said as Feathers blew his cup and sipped his tea. "You know some neighbors these days. I bet they wanna start a late night argument."
"Always! It drives me nuts hearing them shout all the time!" She then sighed and sipped her tea. "Anyway, how were things going, being the school teacher?"
"Oh, just the typical day of studying. Most of the kids were being warm around Feathers and his friends, they often play with them outside the school. And I knew they were so good to him," his expression suddenly changed to stern, "because they were not mean and cruel like... him."
"Who?" Rosie asked.
"That wolf, Corin," Feather said sadly. "Oh, sorry, I didn't wanna say that name."
"Now, now, Feathers," said Slither. "I know it hurts to say that name." He turned to Rosie. "Corin was a student of mine from school. But he wasn't just a typical 'Big Bad Wolf' thing. He was a bully who liked to hurt my students, and Feathers..." he then sighed. "...he was his favorite victim."
"Goodness, that's awful!" Rosie cried. "What did he ever do to him?"
"Well," Feathers gulped, "he would taunt me, tease me, and sometimes he'd pull my ears, my tail, even my diapers."
"What happened to Corin eventually?"
"Well," Slither said, "let's just say actions have consequences."
*********
Three years ago, there was trouble at Slither's school. There was a young wolf wearing overalls. His name was Corin, a school bully who likes to hurt kids. Feathers, who was ten at the time, was skipping pebbles across a small lake when Corin pulled his tail. "Ow!" He cried.
"Still wearing diapees, little chick?" Corin taunted. "Such a little baby who can't even use the toilet!"
"I don't like that bullying," Feathers said, trying not to cry.
"Ooh, that turns me on even more!"
Corin then pulled Feathers' diaper as he squawked, and he dragged him.
"No, leave me alone!" Feathers cried.
"I'm gonna enjoy hurting you for fun!" Corin laughed as he dragged Feathers more. He then twisted Feathers' ear as he wailed.
"Why do you always hurt me?!" Feathers cried.
"Because it feels good to bully the likes of you!" Corin said.
"Oh, really?" A stern voice thundered. That was Slither Scale, as he slithered in and pulled Corin off Feathers. "Bullying is what I do not tolerate, Corin. Have you no shame?"
"Get real, snake, he's just not special," Corin sassed.
"I judge my students by content of character. Yours is what I'm ashamed of! Now back off before I tell your father!"
Corin huffed and walked off, but not before shooting Feathers a warning glare.
"Are you alright, Feathers?" Slither asked, patting Feathers' shoulder.
"I think so," Feathers whimpered. "But why is Corin so mean? He's always picked on us ever since he came to school."
"I know, Feathers. I had been watching, and I warned him about his bullying behavior. I'm sorry this has been happening to you and the other kids. Don't worry, I'm here for you."
The next day, Feathers was playing ball with some kids. One kid hit the ball pretty hard, and Feathers had to go after it. He managed to catch it, but he dropped it when Corin appeared from behind the tree and pulled his diaper as he squawked.
"Lookie here, the diapered birdbrain again," Corin said. "You got me in trouble yesterday." He then smacked Feathers' diaper butt as he squawked and fell to the grass.
Feathers quickly sat up. "No, that was all you, you big bully!" He said. Corin then pulled his ear. "Ow! Let go!"
"No, because I'm gonna enjoy hurting you like I did the day I ruined your homework, and now, you're gonna get it!"
Corin then forced Feathers onto his legs, grabbing a twig from the ground, and he pulled Feathers' diaper down, swatting his rear a lot, as Feathers squawked and yelled a lot.
"Ow! Stop it! I don't like it!" Feathers cried. "Stop, please!"
But Corin just ignored him and kept hitting Feathers' butt with the twig. The kids were terrified at seeing this, but after the past few days of Corin's bullying towards them, they decided enough was enough.
"Hey, stop that! Leave him alone!" A girl shouted.
"Yeah, he didn't do anything wrong!" A boy added.
"You're a mean bully!" Another boy added.
But Corin ignored the kids' shouting and continued to hurt Feathers, until a very angry Slither rushed in, grabbed the twig and yanked it out of Corin's paw.
"Hey, I was in the middle of teaching this birdbrain a lesson!" Corin complained.
"You are in big trouble, Corin! Don't make it worse by defending your actions towards him!" Slither scolded.
"He got me in trouble yesterday! He needed a spanking!"
"No, Corin! You got into trouble yourself!" Slither corrected. "Feathers had done nothing wrong to you! I'm reporting you to your father immediately! Now get your hands off Feathers!"
But Corin just pulled Feathers' tail as he wailed.
"Corin! Don't make me repeat myself!" Slither warned. "Hands off!"
But Corin shook his head, so Slither wrapped his tail around Feathers and pulled Corin away from him. "You're no fun, snake," he grumbled.
"Inside, now!" Slither barked, pointing at the school, and Corin walked into the school. He then patted the sobbing Feathers as he said, "There, there, Feathers. You okay?"
Feathers sniffled a lot. "Corin is so mean..." he sobbed, as Slither pulled his diaper back on him. "Slither, I'm scared..."
"Shh... it's alright now. I shall speak to his father immediately. This has really crossed the line."

Slither had sipped his tea as he spoken his story to Rosie. "It was shortly thereafter that I had phoned Corin's father and reported his bullying. All the kids that stood up for Feathers told me all about his bullying towards them, and how often Feathers had been picked on for his diapers, but seeing how Corin had been hurting Feathers, I was never gonna let that slide. In the end, Corin had been expelled, and was sent away to military school by his father. He's been there ever since."
"Oh, dear. Poor Feathers had really been through all that," Rosie said sadly.
"I really had," Feathers said, "but I was grateful to the kids for standing up to Corin, and to Slither for stepping in when I needed help." He sipped his tea. "Corin's father was very apologetic for what Corin had been doing to us, and often wished that military school would someday change his behavior." Then a smile formed on his beak. "I'm only happy things had gone back to normal, thanks to Slither and my classmates."
Slither chuckled before sipping his tea. "I couldn't agree more, my boy," he said. "Where would you be if I hadn't found you?"
"Quite," Rosie said. "Now, let's just enjoy our nice tea together on this crisp autumn day."
Slither nodded, and the three enjoyed a nice autumn day.
