Just some random stuff to show that I'm not entirely dead on this site.  xD

Anyone who knows my antics well enough, would know that I'm a BIG maplestory fan, going way back to 2005 or so with the post Beta, early access Global, right up to modern Maple, including MapleWorlds Artale. And while I'm still undecided on the fence regarding Classic World soon to be released as a purchased game, and whether or not I'd play that too... that's up for debate.

Regardless, I still fondly remember Maple and the ABSOLUTE CHAOS and JOY it brought me and others of my guild, I do from time to time make fanart of the Classic, and this is just such a thing, right here.

To explain in short what we see here, is what is known as Henesys Hunting Grounds of the Elvan township Henesys.  It's a three tier platform with progressively more difficult monsters to hunt, each giving better experience and coin drops, and the utter chaos of this map is somewhat evident here, even if the canonical layout of this map is a 2D side-scroll platform jumper.

I made this as a learning experience in making "game asset" type objects, like the hay bales which players can stand on to avoid monster aggression, relax, chill out, and go over one's skills and inventory without fear of death or damage. And I made my fanart version of HHG or Henesys Hunting Grounds in a fake 3D layout similar to MiltFox's work on youtube which was an inspiration for my own work here.

I intend to animate this at some point, but each monster, and the human or elf characters seen here will all be hand drawn instead of being game screenshot rips. And speaking of which, my own human shaped girl, wearing her signature blue sling bikini in the middle platform is a custom sprite made from elements ripped from the game. Normally Maplestory is very PG rated, but me being me, I had to push things to R18... because..!!  xD

If anything, I've used this image as a learning tool, for both game asset creation, and simple animation. Indie animation for the near term, possible indie game elements later once I learn how to craft a game myself.  And as for the game elements, they will of course be distinct.  This is fanart in learning exercise form.
