I first heard of this whale thanks to one of the BBC TV series, "Walking with Prehistoric Beasts".  At least, I think that's the name of it.  Anyway, it's an interesting show.

Admittedly, I never saw the show, but I did get the tie-in book.  It was very interesting.and undoubtedly influenced my choice of Basilosaurus here.
