Funny, I’ve got a Pokémon story in the works where the two main characters are Eevee’s. Twin brother and sister, the first kids of a male Eevee and female Vulpix. It starts out innocent and is kind of a slice of life story. A family going about their day and the kids fooling around. Every character gets their moment. But everything changes when the twins encounter a human. A Pokémon trainer who was a former serviceman himself. The twins were forced to take shelter following a severe thunderstorm and are all alone. Meaning they have to sort things out on their own, without their parents to guide them. Nothing spicy takes place, but it’s an encounter that forever changes their lives. And not in a good way. For added context, the story is set in 1949, following WWII. The twin’s grandfather and uncle once served cruel humans during wartime. But they ran away to escape and start over. The twins have an admittedly skewed view of humans, that they’re incredibly intelligent but not to be trusted.
