It's been a while since I've posted anything. School has been keeping me pretty busy the last few months. I am still here though. And I should be back to work again soon. In the meantime I figured I'd post something I just finished. I was playing around with ink washes in class the other day and decided to play with some colored ink. I think I'm going to play with this method a bit more

Very cool stuff. The difference in color warmth really gives it a sense of depth and character. I've always liked this kind of thing. :3

Thanks! It's kind of a new experience for me. I've never really played with ink washes before and the colored ones looked like they'd be fun to experiment with

Wet media is extraordinary. I've often thought about trying some, because there is nothing like the texture of wet edges. Alas, I'm kind of intimidated by it.

It kind of takes a while but I worked my way down from hard to soft media. I started out with pencils and Prismacolor markers then switched to brush tip markers. From there I did acrylic and kept adding water with each piece until I was comfortable with washes. It's a pretty comfortable transition

it's funny, I read 'busy with school' and still think 'highschool'.

I kept passing this the last few days and decided to hunt it down again, because the lighting and rendering is just that awesome! You deserve some serious cred =^o^= <3
