The days following Hawkmon’s encounter with the shrunken Gekkomon were rather unremarkable. The bird Digimon had gotten slightly disheartened when he couldn’t locate his newly acquired tiny friend, but he quickly got over it, thinking that Gekkomon had intentionally hidden himself somewhere over his body as a sign of his willingness to remain close to him. In the meantime, Hawkmon had continued his duties at the dojo, making sure all his students learnt all of the basics in self-defence. This could often prove more complicated than expected given the various body types of his students. Some were lean and agile whilst others were bulkier and capable of crashing through a brick wall without much of a scratch. Amongst the latter was the newest addition to his class, a Guilmon. Like many others, he had taken up self-defence lessons after the start of the ongoing wave of disappearances that had terrorized both the digital and real world over the past month. Despite how much his clumsiness would often hinder his progress, Guilmon had become one of Hawkmon’s most enthusiastic students in a short span of time. Hawkmon could see all the effort he put in practising his moves and, as such, he started dedicating extra time just to teach Guilmon. Soon they became good friends, bonding over the course of their shared sessions to the point they became frequent sparring partners. Of course, everything would change on a fateful afternoon after their usual private lesson.
Hawkmon had gone to the back store to prepare some tea when suddenly he was struck a glitched pulse of energy that seemed to emerge from his very own feathers. He was too paralyzed by the sudden shock to notice his surroundings rapidly expanding until even the single smallest crumb on his table loomed over him like a hill. Once the shrinking glitch stopped, Hawkmon was left dazzled at the centre of his tea table, no bigger than one tenth of an inch. As it had been the case of most of those affected by the same glitch, Hawkmon almost got overcome by a huge feeling of anxiety upon seeing himself completely helpless in what felt like a completely different world. Nevertheless, thanks to his extensive training, Hawkmon was capable of calming himself down until he could think rationally once again. Once he got his bearings, he quickly devised as plant to get some help from the only Digimon still present at the dojo, Guilmon. Of course, getting the red Digimon to help him was easier said than done due to both their now impossible size difference as well as the hundreds of miles that currently separated the tiny hawk from his friend training in the adjacent room. In that regard, Hawkmon’s wings proved to be a blessing, since they allowed him to fly across the floor and towards the massive door towering in the horizon, albeit at an extremely slow speed from the perspective of someone who’s normal-sized, more comparable to the average flying speed of a gnat.
By the time Hawkmon arrived at the door, the sun had started to set. Crossing into the training grounds was surprisingly simple given that the space under the door was big enough to accommodate thousands like Hawkmon. Once he crossed to the other side, he saw his friend Guilmon still training by himself, fighting against a practice dummy and delivering kicks so strong that echoed throughout the room and shook Hawkmon to his core. Guilmon was currently working out on the other side of the room yet to Hawkmon he already appeared impossibly big. A massive, moving, living, red colossus, gargantuan enough that he could probably host entire countries over his body and not notice them. He was so mindbogglingly huge that even Hawkmon’s sharp eyesight only allowed him to discern Guilmon’s lower half. Everything up his waist was just an imposing red and white blur. Hawkmon chose not to dwell in how alien and unreal the normal world felt now that he was a mere mite scurrying on the floor of his own dojo. He was on a mission after all. As such, after a brief rest Hawkmon flew towards the red giant at top speed, his mind completely focused on the growing crimson mass in the horizon. Perhaps he should have paid more attention to the rest of Guilmon, rather than only his left leg. Maybe that way he would have noticed Guilmon’s lowering right leg as he finished delivering a last kick into the training dummy. Hawkmon only realized the gravity of his situation once everything became engulfed in shadow and the distant view of Guilmon’s leg got eclipsed by the sky-spanning surface of Guilmon’s sole, getting closer and closer to the nigh invisible speck currently flying over the ground. Of course, once he realized his grave mistake, Hawkmon tried to correct his course. Unfortunately for the bird Digimon, it was too little too late. A fraction of a second later, the full weight of a foot the size of a continent fell upon Hawkmon with a deafening crash, instantly pressing him under tons of flesh and causing him to lose consciousness. To Guilmon, it wasn’t even a full step, just him adjusting his posture after a powerful kick. To Hawkmon, it was as if the entire world had landed on him.
Satisfied after working up a good sweat, Guilmon decided to finish today’s session and walked to the nearest bench in order to rest and wait for Hawkmon’s return. As he sat down he started to notice a subtle yet persistent itch under his right foot. More curious than irritated, Guilmon looked for the potential source of said itch, yet couldn’t detect anything out of place on his sole…
Meanwhile, Hawkmon had woken up to a completely foreign landscape. The vast expanses of his dojo’s floor had been replaced by a massive crimson wasteland. He appeared to be in some sort of canyon, seeing that two tall walls flanked him on each side. In addition, he wasn’t alone in that crevice. Filling a good chunk of the available space was a muddy hill looming over him, looking incredibly out of place in the red landscape. Still, the worst came once Hawkmon took his first deep breath upon waking up. His nose was immediately bombarded with the most intoxicating and strong stench he had ever smelled. Having owned his dojo for a good number of years, he immediately recognized it as the smell of workout, but greatly amplified to the point it was nearly noxious for the bird Digimon. Heaving with each breath, Hawkmon slowly made his way through the canyon looking for a higher point. As he made his way, he also took note of the ridiculous levels of heat and humidity in the atmosphere, causing the hawk to sweat profusely. Furthermore, it seemed that the land itself was also affected by such conditions as the ground and walls of the canyon itself were soaked in a noticeable layer dampness. It took Hawkmon a good while of trekking through the tortuous paths of the canyon, being forced to endure its swampy conditions, but at last, he arrived at a high point. However, nothing could have prepared him to the sight that awaited him at the top of the incline. Before him, a red, steaming and bumpy landscape extended into the horizon, topped by two gargantuan red mountains with white peaks in the far distance. It was then that Hawkmon realized what had happened. After Guilmon’s step he had become stranded on his sole. There was no canyon, he had been walking through the skin wrinkles of one of the red digimon’s toes. Looking up in the sky, he could see Guilmon’s blurry face looking down at him. For a moment, Hawkmon got his hopes up for a second before realizing that Guilmon wasn’t looking at him but rather past him. He was too tiny to notice, even less so considering how well he blended over Guilmon’s red skin. He had a long path ahead of him if he ever hoped to get his friend’s attention before he started training his kicks again…

Rejoy! I managed to finish another chapter of my Digimon series before the end of the month! This drawing pretty much covers everything I had planned for this month (I have another pic stored for later >;3)
So yeah, starting next month, I’ll be dealing with some irl stuff that may hinder my ability to output so many drawings so quickly. Do not fret though, I won’t go into hiatus for now. It just means I’ll probably be uploading 1 drawing per month, instead of the 2-3 I’ve gotten used to.
You know the drill by now, here’s a poll to decide the next macro Digimon:
