I finally came up with an actual backstory for Owlette lol.

Owlette is a rebel Nightmaren, originally named Blizzard, being created with the purpose of using her owl-like stealth to sneak up on visitors in the snow or in the dark and steal their Ideya, she was never very happy with that duty and was inspired to leave after learning of NiGHTS' rebellion.

She eventually stumbles upon the dream gate after fleeing her original domain of Frozen Bell, having been chased out by her replacement Clawz and befriends NiGHTS and Owl soon after, renaming herself to reject her past purpose and in admiration for her new mentor/father figure.
