Episode 03: Pool playtime
*Time skip to the afternoon.*
At that time, the other puppies were seen relaxing in the large backyard of the house. Some puppies is lying by the swimming pool, while others were playing in the sandbox.
Luna and Lynna were lying on a mattress floating in the middle of the swimming pool, basking in the warm sun, while Seca stood hesitantly at the edge of the swimming pool and there was a small float attached to his body.
"Um, Lynna? Are you right, the swimming pool is not that deep?" Seca's voice trembled slightly as he eyed the water.
"Seca, are you a scaredy pup, just step onto the floating mat in front of you, you won't fall into the pool," Lynna encouraged through her pup-tag, her voice calm and soothing.
"O-okay, I hope I won't regret this," Seca took a deep breath and stepped onto the floating mat, his paws sinking slightly before he found his balance.
"Whhoouuaaaa!!! I did it!" Seca exclaimed, his little legs wobbling on the mat.
He looked around with pride at his friends. But suddenly, the floating mat lost the balance. Seca yelped as he toppled into the water with a splash, his eyes wide with fear as the water closed over his head.
All the puppies just laughing at the sight of Seca's surprise dunk.
"Help me! Im drowned!" Seca's panic-stricken voice only makes the puppies' laughter louder because they could see Seca actually didn't realize that pool was just a few inches deep at the spot he'd fallen into.
But his flailing made him splash around in the shallow end, getting everyone wet.
"Hahaha... Seca, just open your eyes," Maxtone chuckled from his spot on the poolside lounge chair.
With a dramatic sigh, Seca did as he was told, and his eyes snapped open to reveal the water was only up to his neck. He looked around at the giggling pups before his own muzzle twitched up into a grin.
"Oh, okay... I guess I'm not drowning," he said, his voice slightly muffled by the water.
Meanwhile, Jerony was seen capturing the moment with his camera from the balcony of his bedroom on the third floor. He couldn't help but laugh at Seca's dramatic flailing.
"I'll give it a title: Seca, the clumsiest puppy's poolside adventure," Jerony murmured to himself, capturing the moment with his camera.
After finishing recording, Jerony then went back into his bedroom and walked towards his super giga computer. He sat in his ergonomic chair and began typing away, saving the footage of Seca's pool incident into a folder labeled "Pups' Playtime."
"What's making you laughing, Master?" Hershell poked his head out of the bathroom.
"Look at this, Hershell... It will make you laugh too, come over here," Jerony called out, still chuckling.
Hershell trotted over to the super giga computer, his little legs moving quickly despite the thick padding around his middle.
Jerony played the recorded footage of Seca's pool accident. The golden retriever's eyes grew wide as he watched his friend's dramatic performance.
"He's so clumsy," Hershell giggled, his tail wagging again.
"No, he is not clumsy but he is the clumsiest," Jerony said, his laughter subsiding into a smile as he ruffled Hershell's fur. "But that's what makes him who he is, and we love him for it."
"Um, Master... When was this video recorded?" Hershell tilted his head, his curiosity piqued.
"Just now, Hershell," Jerony said, still smiling at the footage.
"What, so... They're in the pool now?" Hershell's eyes widened as he watched his friends' escapades unfold on the screen.
Jerony nodded, clicking through the various camera feeds around the house.
"Yes, and they seem to be enjoying themselves," he said, his eyes scanning the footage of Lynna, Svara, and Maxtone playing a game of fetch with a waterproof ball.
"Master... Can I join them?" Hershell's eyes grew hopeful as he watched his friends playing outside. Jerony looked at Hershell, then at the screen, considering for a moment.
"Well, go ahead and don't worry when you come back to my bedroom, the security system has been updated, so it will recognize you and won't scare you anymore." Jerony said, giving Hershell a nod.
Hershell's tail started wagging again at the thought of playing with his friends. He dashed out of the bedroom and down the hallway, his little legs moving as fast as they could. The door to the backyard slid open, and he barreled through it, the warm sun kissing his fur as he rushed towards the pool.
"I'm joined!!!! Cannonball!" Hershell shouted with excitement as he leaped into the pool, sending a wave of water cascading over the edge and soaking the already wet puppies even more.
The water droplets shimmered in the sunlight, a perfect reflection of the joy on their faces.
"Uh Hershell," the puppies shouted as Hershell makes them getting splashed.
All the puppies' eyes widened as they saw their friend, who was supposed to be the youngest and most inexperienced, make the most epic entry into the pool.
They couldn't help but laugh harder at the sight of the soaking wet pups.
"Oops, sorry everyone," Hershell's cheeky grin spread as he emerged from the water, his diaper soggy but his spirits high.
The puppies' laughter grew louder as they watched him splash around, joining in the fun.
Then, several puppies were previously at the edge of the swimming pool jumped in to join Hershell, and the laughter grew into a cacophony of barks and splashes. The water danced around them as they played, their wet fur shaking off droplets that sparkled like tiny diamonds in the sun.
But suddenly....
"Move over everypups!!! I'm joined too!" Jerony's voice echoed through the backyard, and the puppies turned to see him running from the house, fully dressed in swim trunks.
"Ouh oh, Master!!! Watch out!!! A huge wave in coming," Luna shouted as she saw Jerony approaching the pool with a grin.
"Cannonball!" Jerony shouted as he launched himself into the pool, his human form creating a much larger splash than Hershell's had.
Sending a more huge wave of water over the pool's edge, soaking the surrounding grass.
"Master," the puppies chorused in delight as Jerony emerged from the pool, water droplets glistening on his skin.
He wiped his eyes and looked around at the soggy but smiling faces.
"If my pups can have fun, why can't I?" Jerony said, his laughter joining the symphony of barks and splashes.
Then, Jerony and his seven puppies spent the rest of the afternoon at the pool, playing various water games and taking turns doing epic dives. The sound of their laughter and barks filled the air, resonating with the pure joy of a family that had found a new place to call home.
