This leads to this kind of accident in the middle of a fight against a player, where the chest plate ends up breaking and propelling itself forward, landing violently on a player's face, knocking them out.
Ashley felt bad and apologized, covering her chest, saying it's just a game and they avoided hurting themselves for real, even if it wasn't intentional.
But it's still a very effective attack if it were in a real fight.
