From the Wookieepedia: Vulptices (singular: vulptex) were a non-sentient species of omnivorous and gregarious canids from the mineral world Crait. They were distinguished by their coats made up of white crystalline bristles. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- These are those unique, special little crystal foxes seen in the movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Instead of fur their coats are made up of thousands of little crystals. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This is something I have been working on for a very long time, about 5 years or so on and off. A lot of that though was waiting for AI Technology to advance to a point where it would actually be possible. This has been very, very difficult to get any form of AI to reproduce. To my knowledge no one else other than me has been able to make these characters in AI at this level of detail before now. A big part of that is the lack of source material to train from (which makes training at all very difficult) and having to train my own custom lora for it from scratch.
I've been trying to train a model with SDXL + Illustrious for a while but the hardware demands are pretty insane and I needed to wait and build a dedicated computer with enough ram to train the models. I'm talking 50~66 GB of system ram in use constantly during training even with a 12 GB VRAM video card, with spikes up to around 80~88 GB of system ram when it first gets started. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Now that I have the ability to train custom Lora's with SDXL + Illustrious I'll try to get some more trained soon to work on making some other custom lora's and custom models to see what I can come up with. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- The attached workflow file for ComfyUI has all the details of how I made this.
EDIT: I know it's not super amazing but this is the best I can come up with from the very small, limited source material I can find. There's just no high quality, high detail pictures of these anywhere on the internet to train a lora from. I've had to take still image screenshots from the movie it's self over netflix just to even try to train some of these and this is the best I've been able to make yet. Maybe some day I'll be able to refine it and make it better.
