Despite Vikki often being in a lit lab, she manages to control her moth instincts, which consist of approaching the light, instinctively believing it's moonlight, a source of orientation for them.
But sometimes, instinct takes over, especially when you've just woken up, giving your brain time to reset, and suddenly, the first thing you see to orient yourself is... the light from your lamp, and you have a sudden urge to approach it.
This happens often to Vikki every morning or evening, when she's very tired. XD
