This was the first pic I started in GIMP 3! Unfortunately, this new version still hasn’t fixed the gaps in the path tool and the plugin that does mostly fix it doesn’t work on GIMP 3 and it also struggled to open one of my art folders, so all these factors lead to me to export what I made of the support layer to a png and then opened that in GIMP 2.10 to work on it there. I’m hoping GIMP 3 will iron out it’s issues.

I’ve mentioned before that the main reason I started watching Shimajiro was the hope that I would eventually see his adorable little sister, Hana, clad in a diaper at some point for my bizarre hobby of collecting screencaps of cute anthro characters in diapers. I eventually kept watching because Shimajiro himself was pretty cute as well. Surprisingly though, after going through what felt like 200+ episodes, I have yet to see Hana in a diaper aside from one of the weird spin-off VHS tapes where the animation was completely different and not appealing. It also doesn’t help that Shimajiro has joined the Youtube Kids slop train and uploading the same crappy CGI videos over and over again, making it extremely difficult to find episodes from the actual show, the 90s episodes in particular.

I felt Hana could use some more fanart, so one day I came up with this idea where poor Shimajiro is struggling to get his sister dressed as she runs off in just her diaper (based on a Japanese diaper I saw my friend Landonbay draw) while he himself hasn’t gotten dressed yet either. I actually recall one episode where he did something like this to a lesser extent. Also fun fact, the shirt Hana wears under her overalls is in fact some kind of full body garment, as seen in one of the now deleted 90s episodes on youtube.

I was going to add more shading, but my mouse started acting up so I thought it best to call it a day. Arms still look like ass. Advice for improving is welcome.
