It might not be possible without increasing the work time significantly. What I do is draw the outline a little thick, and always solid, so that i can use the magic wand too to be able to select the entire outline and fill the inside with a single color (in a separate layer). That way it's much faster and easier to color a drawing.
It saves me a couple hours in full pose drawings.

Hm. A lot of people I've seen color by just layering under the lines and do a quick splash of color under, then erase to trim back to fit within the lines. It works nice and quickly, even for someone as terrible at coloring things as I am.
