Julian stared at Ash.
The latter was in the veranda, just staring at the sunset. Butterflies build up inside Julian, but his mind was not at ease. Ash still hasn't lnded a job, and Julian didn't feel like taking advantage of him.
"Just go to him already" Amir said, eating a burrito.
"B-uh-"
"No 'buts'. You're no longer in a position of power over him. And I know you're not that kind of person anyways."
Julian sighed.
"You're right."
Julian began walking towards the veranda, looking back at Amir, who lifted his thumb while still securing the burrito. Julian sighed again, and joined Ash.
"Hey" he started.
"Hey."
"So, lot's of crazy shit-"
Ash pulled Julian's shirt and both kissed.
Julian broke off the kiss. Ash didn't seem unbothered, even tempting him with a glare. And so they kissed again, more fully this time, tongues wrestling inside their muzzles. Ash's hand reached Julian's cheek, who nuzzled against it, before they broke off again.
"H-how did you-"
"Julian, really? It's fucking obvious."
There were a lot of questions still, inside both heads. But for now, they just watched the sun set.
