“We’re here, we’re here!!!” Kit scrambled his way up the treehouse “It’s our super duper cool base!!!”
This... confused Rila. “Our base? You don’t say...” The way they’d gone from town was the exact path to their old base. They’d moved operations here after a warlock sent a horde of giant spiders through the mercs guild, destroying everything. The base was a ramshackle place that Brennan had put together in some old ruins – outside the town authority. So this is what became of it…
Astrid glanced over at the signs -- No Boys Allowed -- and was reminded of Brennan’s… weird insistence that women not be brought back to the base. “This is place for business”, he’d say. She considered pulling the signs down later.
“We got spell books, adventuring gear and swords and junk… Oooh, and up there’s where we keep the sleeping bags so we can stay over!!” Kit sure did seem to know a lot… Which to Rila, begged the question: “How did you know this was even here?” Katarina was never a part of their group, she’d never met them or been here before – yet Kit led them right here. That was… strange? “Dunno! Anyway get up here and check it out!!”
Astrid though, could have sworn there was something… missing… then realised -- “...Where the hell’d Mason go?”

I am VERY glad I learned 3D -- the background here was a 3d render which required a lot of time lining everything but saved me sooo much time shading it all. Not gonna do this again anytime soon tho, builting an environment like this is fun for a time but too technical, i wanna draw the characterssss.
