Tales of Sagomithya Concept Arts

Here's the latest Tales of Sagomithya character. Yukari the Nykkochi. She is around 13-14 and she lives in a region of the Land of Sagomithya called Pijonakura. This region represents Asian countries like China and Japan especially Japan. I'd like to thank my Canadian friend at tumblr for helping me the colour and details. Just like how he helped me with some other details with names and spelling names for the series and characters themelves. Nykkochi is a ladybug creature. they can have not just red. They can be blue, green, pink, orange, purple and more. Spots, strips, diamond shapes, hearts, triangles, squares in black, white and many more colours. I refuse to do this whole joke about mistaking a male ladybug for a girl schtick like in A Bugs Life where Francis the ladybug is being mistaken for a female when he's actually a guy. That kind joke wont fit Nykkkochis because I want to make the readers and characters around the species clear and easy to tell difference between a guy and girl. like a muscular male Nykkochi and stuff like that. Look, I get its hard to tell the gender of a ladybug insect in reality but I won't let that fact hinder my imagination. Geez!

Nykkochi is Nyckelpiga, a Swedish word for ladybug. And Coccinelle is a French word for ladybug.

Anyway, as for Yukari. She's one of the good guys and one of Argo's friends. I can picture her being adventurous, curious, playful and kinda cheeky. I gotta work on with her backstory

UPDATE:

I have to admit that Yukari's skin will have the same colour scheme as her black hair. But It is abit tricky to use black marker on her skin. I want her mouth and her eyes especially when they're closed to be visible. So I used black colouring pencil instead.
