Jacent Danger never dreamed of sharing a world with animal people. He didn't lie awake and imagine what it would be like to have big ears and a tail. In fact, all he shared in common with anthropomorphic enthusiasts was that he, too, was considered an outcast by Society in general.
Now, he's wishing he paid a little more attention when he crashed on their couches. Post-splice humans are kind, inclusive and fun, but the most unexpected aspect is how strangely personal their sexual politics are. It isn't casual per se, as the friendship tied to it is expected to be quite substantial... but it is nonetheless still present, where it wouldn't have been before.
Furthermore, is it right to even think about it? They're so very different from what he knows! No other pre-splice human would have ever thought about it, right? But the post-splice crowd doesn't seem to care. The answers don't come easy, but the teasing just might.
