Gather isn't a fighter. He's- or- was- a thief. Diving into pockets, and running away. That's what he was used to. But no. He had to listen to other people, better people, who said that he could be a little more than that. That all of his skills- from lockpicking, to breaking and entering, to knowing just how much someone could sell something for and where they could do it- could be used for something better than just petty theft.

So now, here he was. Backed into a corner by a Pokemon about four times as tall as he was, without a single member of his team to help him. "W-we don't have to fight alright?" He smiled up, trying to defuse the anger from the Zangoose closing the gap between them step by step. Claws shining, Attack Scarf around their neck and clearly not willing to let him go without a fight.

"Consequences are consequences Rat." They sneered. "We'll let your buddies find you out cold. So stay still, and it won't hurt." Standing up high, channelling power to their claws, the Zangoose started to throw out a Swords Dance- And found nothing. As all of that strength was ripped away from him.

"o-okay. Okay." Gather stammered as he felt the stolen strength flood his body. "You aren't going to just let me go, so..." Chains wrapped around his tail, bursting out around the thug. No Scarf. No Bag. No way to call for help. The small mouse smiled as he stepped closer. "If I have to... I need to bring you down to my level."
