Twi's cold here but it's a reasonable decision to try and see if they're good in a fight for what's to come. It's better than relying on them in a pinch during NMM or something more visceral and dangerous.

I do hope that spike is okay, being Twilights right hand Creature I'm guessing that he is capable and can't be caught lacking like that this early but then again, this is a fan work. Plot armor usually doesn't exist in this type of works.
