Certain modern day idiots believe that because Brass contains Lead, that drinking water from the hose with a Brass fitting will give you Lead poisoning. It is a far reach to even think that; I'm a 70's child and drinking from the hose with a brass end was an everyday summer thing.
But some people today and their Woke Vegan* Entitlement think they can trounce on everyone about every little thing from drinking from a hose to "If you own, than its mine too" attitudes. It is because of them that the humanity of Americana is heading into hell in a hand basket.
*Note "This kind of Vegan" will refuse to drink water fro the tap because of chemicals in the water but is willing to spend $200 a week on bottled water, which has the same chemicals in it. (Like Vitamin Water Brand flavored waters... its made from NYC Tap Water.)

ah yes, bottled water, something i've never understood. if tap water is that much of an issue, a filter would be much more economical, albeit just as pointless.
i've never drank from a hose, admittedly i was never outdoorsy (who go outside when i can stay indoors and wind up as pale as Dracula?), but i've never assumed it was dangerous because it's not as if brass is used much these days (to my knowledge). metal is metal, i'm not exactly eating lead cookies.
