Preludes, Preambles, and Other Foreplay

Kailee leaned out over the railing of her private balcony, unable to resist the urge to giggle wildly. Stretching out over the rail, she could glimpse into the balconies of darkened rooms, their occupants still in the process of boarding. She’d managed to slip on board early, avoiding the uneasy press of bodies as the multitude of guests filed in. Her own balcony, her own room, her own everything. And over a week to enjoy it, with no parents or anyone who even remotely knew her to interrupt it.
She turned back toward her room, slinking out of the blouse and jeans she’d traveled in. Even better than twelve days solo and a boat full of possibilities was having an excuse to wear nothing but bikini tops and cut-off jeans every day without anyone thinking it was odd. She tucked herself gingerly into the denim and turned to glance herself over in the mirror as she tied her top in place. The denim bulged and she grinned. Perfect.
Tucking her room key into one pocket and a wad of cash into the other, she left her cabin behind, making her way down the hall just as other guests began filing through it. With everyone boarded and the early gawking done, she ought to have a few minutes of peace about the ship as everyone found their own cabins. She smiled as an older gentleman nearly strained his neck to look after her as she skipped past, his wife scolding him sharply as she turned another corner.
A few more encounters like that and her cheeks were positively rosy, and she put a deliberate bounce in her step to put extra strain on her bikini top and the eyes of the numerous middle-aged men on the boat. Crowds like this were almost worth it--almost--when folks stared at her like that.
The number of people quickly thinned out as she moved toward the back of the boat. She’d mapped out each of the ship’s bars in her head while she was on the plane. She planned to try her luck at each one, but she’d picked one out in particular as her best bet.
As she’d hoped, Robusto, the ship’s cigar bar, was nearly empty. A pair of old men sucked on just-lit stogies over freshly poured scotch in the back. They both glanced up as her hooves sounded on the hardwood floor. She didn’t meet their eyes, simply letting them stare as she moved to the bar. The tender was younger than she’d expected. Much younger. This might be even easier than she’d thought. She crossed her arms on the bar and leaned over them. Her B-cups weren’t much for turning heads when she wasn’t bikini clad, but her pose put them to good use, squeezing them together until they threatened to spill out of her orange-striped swimsuit, B’s or not.
The young bartender coughed, and she was impressed by his valiant effort to control his eyes.
“Miss, I--”
“We’re still in Canada, right?” she interrupted him.
“Yes, but I’m--”
“What’s the drinking age in Canada? Eighteen?” She leaned further forward.
“Nineteen, in British Columbia, miss, but--”
“Nineteen,” she cooed. “Well, tell you what. You let me pretend I’m nineteen, and pour me some of that scotch those gentlemen are drinking. And I’ll let you pretend I’m eighteen when your shift is over.”
She quirked one eyebrow invitingly and watched as his eyes widened. Good. At least he wasn’t stupid. A moment later, a crystal glass full of dark amber was in front of her, and the bartender was doing his work close enough to the counter to conceal his erection. She smiled sweetly at him, batting her eyelashes to make her young age even more apparent. She managed, for the sake of his pride, not to giggle when he blushed.
She swiveled in her seat, peering down into the glass skeptically. She’d never actually had scotch and hadn’t expected to obtain a glass so easily.
“I’ll have one, too,” said a vaguely familiar voice at her shoulder. She turned to find a young equine, maybe ten years her senior, claim the stool beside her. At first she frowned, expecting a leering come-on to follow his order, then her eyes widened in recognition.
“Scott?!”
The young man grinned at her around the cigar he’d put to his lips. He spent a long moment with a lighter getting the thing to blaze, and then pulled a slow mouthful of smoke before replying.
“Still as reckless as ever, I see.”
She rolled her eyes at him.
“Still as nerdy as ever, I see,” she retorted to her old math tutor. Her words carried no sting, just the nearly-forgotten notes of an old, playful argument..
“Touche,” he said with a warm smile.
“What are you doing here?” she asked incredulously. She hadn’t expected to find a single soul she knew so far from home.
“Here? Why, I smoke cigars now. Cigars are cool.”
She snorted. “What, like bow ties?”
“Exactly like bow ties!” He put his stogie between his lips and straightened the blue silk bow tie at his neck. She was ever skeptical of bow ties, but she couldn’t deny that he had style.
“I meant on this ship,” she said with a long-suffering sigh. “Not here in this lounge.”
“Ah, well.” He picked up the glass of scotch the bartender had produced for him, then held her wrist and made her toast him, before turning around to lean against the bar and look out over the lounge.
“I made a somewhat... unexpected exit from Roosevelt City before Christmas. Since then, I’ve been working as a consultant for various DoD contractors. The pay is good and I travel a lot. But my heart’s not in it. I miss teaching. A boat full of people I don’t know, going someplace I’ve never been. It just seemed like a fun thing to do, to clear my head and think about where to go from here. Were you going to drink that, or just admire it?”
She blinked, looking up at him, then down at her drink. She blushed a little. She hadn’t even sipped it yet. She lifted the drink to her muzzle. She resisted the urge to sniff it first. Tequila had taught her that nothing good came of that. She took a long sip and felt the smooth fire travel to her belly. She shivered a little, but felt no urge to grimace the way she had after the Cuervo. She glanced up over the rim of the glass to see Scott watching her with a quirked brow. She flushed a little darker and took a longer drink. He lifted his glass to her in an ironic gesture of respect.
“What about you?” he asked, sucking on his cigar for a long moment. Silken smoke ribboned out of his lips as he asked, “Are your parents on board, too?”
“Just me,” she replied. A smile crept across her lips as she said it. Saying it out loud felt like an illicit sort of freedom. Scott raised his eyebrow in an unasked question.
“My parents cut me off last Christmas. Said I needed to get a job and start paying for my own gas and saving for college. So I did. I took every shitty job I could find. I even worked as a mall elf for Christmas.” Scott grimaced, and she nodded her thanks at his sympathy. “I worked my butt off straight through the end of school. And that’s when they told me they respected my hard work and never intended to make me pay my own way through college, they just wanted to be sure I had the work ethic to pull it off.”
“Ah,” Scott said, puffing a stream of smoke away from her. “So you find yourself facing summer with no need to work and a bank account full of cash.”
She grinned, feeling a little bit of the giddiness that had overcome her at her parents’ revelation. “Exactly. I even got my dad to pitch in his airline miles for the ticket, with the excuse of touring the Hawaii-Manoa campus after we dock.”
“Mm. Not a bad idea.”
“Listen, Scott, I don’t mean to be rude, and it’s been awesome seeing you but... the whole point of this cruise is to get away from the city, you know? And, well, everyone in it. I came here looking for a boat full of strangers, people I can talk to and know I’ll probably never have to see them again, people who aren’t expecting anything from me just because of who my parents are or anything like that. Twelve days of anonymity and reckless fun. So I was kinda... Scott? Are you even listening?”
An old woman had walked into the bar. The elder otter moved slowly without doddering, and kept her back straight even though arthritis curled her fingers. She took herself to the table in the back with the two older men, though she was old enough to be their mother. Scott was staring after her, cigar threatening to roll off his lip. He looked like he’d seen a ghost.
His glass clattered to the bar and he leaned his cigar on a deep-bowled ashtray as he stood. “It’s been great seeing you, Kailee. Not to be rude, but, I’m kinda here to put Roosevelt City behind me, you know? Don’t take this the wrong way but, I hope this is the last time we bump into each other.”
She blinked at him. “But, that’s what I was--”
He leaned in and kissed her cheek fondly, the way she imagined an older brother might. “Don’t get into too much trouble, Kailee.”
She stared after the suede patches on his sleeves as they disappeared out the door and into the crowd that was starting to mill through the ship. She blinked, shaking her head in disbelief. Scott Ferris had always been a bit of an odd duck, but his departure had been downright bizarre. Then his half empty glass and barely-smoked cigar caught her eye. His odd departure flitted out of her mind as she finished her own scotch and lifted his. Tipping an ironic toast in Scott’s direction, she picked up his cigar and rolled it thoughtfully between her fingers. She made sure to make eye contact with the bartender as she pressed it to her lips and drew from it slowly.
As the creamy, vaguely chocolatey smoke filled her mouth, she wondered how long she could get away with teasing drinks out of this boy before he caught on that she never intended to let him into her pants.
~~~~~
Scott brushed his hands through his hair as he all but fled the Robusto. First Kailee, then Mayor Nielsen? How many people from Roosevelt City were on this ship? And of all people. why the mayor? Nothing struck fear into him like the face of that cool, calculating, powerful woman. He was quite certain that she had some idea of what had transpired between him and her granddaughters. What else would have precipitated her generous and irrefusable suggestion that he leave the city?
Silently, he vowed he’d spend the rest of the cruise cooped up in his cheap, interior cabin. Would that even help? If Mayor Nielsen’s presence on the same ship as him was more than just unlikely coincidence, he doubted even that would be safe.
He frowned at himself, moving through the crowd with purpose even though he had no idea where he was going. Surely it was just a coincidence. He shouldn’t let the mayor’s appearance spook him any more than Kailee’s had. He was here to clear his head, not spend twelve days in a tiny room that barely amounted to a closet. There were plenty of public balconies where he could smoke and read, hundreds of strangers to meet, limitless possibilities.
No, Mayor Nielsen and the young hybrid he used to tutor just happened to be on the ship with him. There was a finite probability of that happening randomly. It had nothing to do with him, and everything to do with statistics, especially considering the higher than average income among Riverview residents. At least the girls didn’t seem to be with their grandmother. He wasn’t sure he could handle twelve days on a boat knowing they were somewhere, waiting for him...
“Mr. Ferris!” cried an all-too-familiar voice, at that precise moment.
~~~~~

“Weird,” Lily said, sulking against the railing overlooking the promenade. “I swore he was right there.”
“You’re just seeing things,” Peri said, tugging at her impatiently.
“I don’t really think he could afford a cruise anyway, Lily,” Violet said gently. She had been that way around her a lot lately. Gentle. Lily scowled.
“I’m sure whatever he’s doing now pays better than teaching,” Lily replied. She grinned a little, knowing the thoughts her words elicited in her twin. Mr. Ferris wasn’t teaching any more. And they were the reason he wasn’t. All because of that one afternoon.
Violet met Lily’s eyes and Lily grinned a little wider, excited. Then Violet blushed and turned away, grabbing Peri’s hand to continue their meandering wander through the ship’s decks. Lily frowned, trailing after them. She ached for her sister’s attention, for the sort of wild games Violet had taught her, the touch of a stranger, the thrill of not knowing what her unpredictable sister would demand of her next. A year ago, this ship would’ve been a veritable playground for her sister’s erotic games. Hundreds of strangers to force Lily to show off for, innumerable hidden corners to press her into...
Violet had turned predictable and worse, she’d become ashamed of what they shared. Her sister hadn’t touched her once since the afternoon she’d goaded those two giraffes... Lily shivered deliciously at the memory, and ached for another adventure to follow it up. But what she really ached for was for Violet to look over her body with desire and curiosity again, to control her and push her limits and--
“Lily?” Violet asked. Lily shivered as, for a moment, a memory put the tone of steely command back in Violet’s voice. She looked up and saw nothing but confusion and concern on her sister’s face as Lily stood there, lost in reverie, unrequited arousal dribbling down her inner thigh.
“I’m a little lightheaded,” she said. “Could we go see the suite?”
“I thought you wanted to check out the pool.”
“And the arcade!” Peri added.
“And the arcade,” Violet amended with a grin at their little brother.
“And get ice cream!”
Violet rolled her eyes, but tolerantly added, “And get ice cream,” to her list.
“Can we do that later? I’d like to just lie down for a bit.”
Violet frowned a little, but moved to her sister’s side. “Sure,” she said softly, the concern in her voice growing. Lily tingled where her twin slid her arm around her. “C’mon, Peri. We’ll scope the whole boat out later. It’ll be less crowded anyway.”
Lily let herself be led. She let Violet believe she was lightheaded from illness or maybe seasickness, but the sight of Mr. Ferris, or at least someone who’d looked a hell of a lot like him, had sparked a montage of memories in her mind’s eye. The substitute math teacher had been their first real conquest together, but it had also been Violet’s breaking point, even though the whole thing had been her idea. Meanwhile, the encounter had merely whetted Lily’s appetite.
Lily couldn’t shake the memory of Mr. Ferris inside her and Violet astride her face. Her body quivered like an overtuned guitar string, and when the door to the suite closed behind her, she couldn’t remember the journey that had actually gotten her there.
“Wow!” Peri squealed, running through the suite. It was even bigger than their rooms at the hotel in Vancouver had been, though Gran had had her own room there. Peri landed with a squeak on a massive king-sized bed in one of the bedrooms.
“Peri!” Violet called after him. “That’s Gran’s bed!”
Lily looked around the Royal Family Suite with appreciation, imagining the pretty penny Gran must have set aside for it. She moved through the suite without entirely seeing it. She licked her lips, moving through the threshold of the second bedroom, a tiny one with two twin beds and a separate shower. Her mind danced at the possibilities.
“Then where am I supposed to sleep?” her little brother protested from the other room.
There was an odd sound as Violet pulled down the Pullman bed. She braced for Peri’s complaint over being relegated to a mere hideaway bed while she and Violet got their own room.
“Holy crap, that’s awesome!” the youth shouted, and Violet laughed at his enthusiasm, and Lily heard the creak as her little brother tossed himself onto the bed.
Lily turned, sensing more than hearing that Violet was headed for the bedroom. Her sister gasped when she stepped past the threshold and Lily looked down at herself. She couldn’t quite remember getting naked. Violet slammed the door shut behind herself before Peri could walk in.
“Lily!” she hissed quietly. “What are you doing?! Either get dressed or get in bed!”
Her sister squeaked with surprise as Lily crossed the room. Her body trembled when she pressed their lips together. For a moment, it was just like it had always been, except in reverse. Lily’s lips pressing into Violet’s, hungry and demanding. Violet’s were soft and accepting, scared and excited, just the way Lily had always been. Lily’s need flared in her body, and she pressed against her sister desperately The moment shattered then as Violet jerked her lips away. Lily could feel the hesitance in the motion, but her twin twisted her head to the side and away when she tried to kiss her again.
“No.” Violet said firmly.
“Please,” Lily whispered, ashamed and yet aroused by the level of desperation in her own voice.
“No,” Violet said again. “I don’t know how to deal with this, Lily. I don’t know how to help you and I don’t know how to stop, either. If I give in just a little, I’ll get in way over my head again. Don’t you remember what happened with Fiona and her mom? Do you realize how much worse that would be here, trapped on a ship? I can’t do this, Lily, and I really can’t do this here. We’d get found out, or worse, and this time Gran wouldn’t be able to fix it for us and Lily I just can’t anymore! Not with you. Not anymore. I’m sorry!”
Lily fell forward as Violet desperately groped for the door handle. Violet twirled and escaped the press of her body, and Lily knew a brief moment of shame as she saw Peri’s eyes peering out of his bed at her, wide as saucers, as she stood in the doorway stark naked. She blushed, swore, and slammed the door, then threw herself on the bed to both cry and masturbate.
~~~~~
Ribbon shivered at the press of Celyn’s powerful body against her back, the woman’s firm hands kneading her ass through the tiny skirt she’d picked out for her. The mare had an undeniable way of demanding what she wanted, and time after time, that turned out to be Ribbon. It was deeply erotic and flattering, especially after Ribbon had heard rumors about Celyn’s other ‘toys,’ many of which she discarded after merely a week or two.
She blushed, thinking about how Celyn’s friends all referred to her as Celyn’s toy. She doubted if any of them knew her name, though a few of them knew her taste. Celyn wasn’t jealous about sharing.
Ribbon made a soft sound as one of Celyn’s hands left her backside, trailing up her back to hook a finger in the tight collar around Ribbon’ neck. The woman’s powerful hands turned her around easily, and she gave a jerk on the collar as a casual reminder of her dominance. It made Ribbon tremble with arousal, and her lips were already parted when Celyn’s muzzle found hers.
Celyn’s kiss was deep and aggressive, the woman’s tongue probing her mouth as if discovering it for the first time. Ribbon’s gold striped cheeks turned a burnished bronze as she blushed, hearing other guests exclaiming around them. Their difference in age was easily evident, and Celyn had chosen to assault her mouth in the middle of the main promenade. From the corner of her eye, Ribbon could see a few stopping stare, while others clucked their tongues disapprovingly or ushered their kids quickly around corners. Ribbon shivered with arousal at being made into such a public display.
Celyn’s lips lifted off hers with an audible pop and Ribbon found herself panting for breath that she couldn’t remember losing. Nearly a year after being made into this powerful woman’s toy and she still took her breath away. Ribbon ached deliciously at the thought of the next twelve days with her.
“So many strangers,” Celyn cooed in her ear. The mare’s hands were on her ass again, squeezing firmly, and Ribbon knew that the little skirt she wore was riding up, knew her pink thong was brightly visible against her dark fur. She hoped it wasn’t completely soaked through, but knew that it was.
“I can feel their eyes on me,” Ribbon said, blushing deeply. Celyn’s smile widened.
“You’ll be feeling much more than that before we reach Honolulu,” the woman said. Ribbon made of a soft squeak, though she wasn’t sure if the sound was from embarrassment or excitement. She lifted up on the balls of her feet as Celyn gave her ass another firm squeeze, then turned to lead her to their cabin.
Re-post of "Preludes, Preambles, and Other Foreplay" written by
Jacinth
Jacinth
.
Original story description:
A few residents of Roosevelt City board a cruiseliner in anticipation of a fun-filled 12-day cruise to Honolulu. This story sets the stage for the main players from the Roosevelt City Universe as they enter a crossover event that will literally change their lives forever!
This is a preview of many things to come as I, VerbMyNoun, and Cormenthor watch our worlds collide on a small cruiseliner in off the west coast. Parts starring all characters will be written by all three authors, so be sure to watch Verb and Corm to ensure you don't miss any of the action! Be sure to look out for sidestories outside of the RC Universe from kemosabe and BlastoTheHanar too! So much more to come...
All characters are copyright their respective owners.
