Character Description

Alesya is a soft, sweet Eurasian red squirrel who is a popular ballet dancer, though she also does figure skating, contortion, gymnastics and some other activities. Alesya is very friendly, and loves to make new friends. Alesya is very social, and treats others the way they want to be treated. While she can sometimes act sassy, Alesya is a very sweet squirrel.

Alesya became a ballerina four weeks before her fourth birthday, and has since become a very popular ballerina. She was a very fast learner, excelling in every lesson with ease and being able to do eight, later thirty-two consecutive fouettes with ease.

Hello everyone. TMD here, and this is my first upload to Inkbunny - a drawing of my character Alesya Fayanova, who is the title character of the upcoming Alesya's Adventures book series that I'll make alongside my good friend Alex Borquez (he is https://www.instagram.com/alexis_studio495 for those wondering) featuring the eponymous squirrel. Talking of which, here's a biography of Alesya.

            Alesya Sasha Fayanova (born 14th May 2015 realistically, 14th May 1961 in-universe, as Alesya's Adventures in the first book takes place in the year 1965) is a Eurasian red squirrel who has a very sweet and adorable personality. As of now, she is 10 years old, but in Alesya's Ballet Lessons she is 3-4 years old, as it is the first book of the series. She has six siblings - two brothers and four sisters, who, in order of birth (excluding Alesya herself) are:

1. Derek (born 19th May 2005 realistically/19th May 1951 in-universe, eldest brother and oldest sibling overall)
2. Miranda (born 7th May 2006 realistically/7th May 1952 in-universe, second-oldest sibling and eldest sister)
3. Rodney (born 17th May 2010 realistically/17th May 1956 in-universe, third-oldest sibling and youngest brother)
4. Juliet (born 5th May 2011 realistically/5th May 1957 in-universe, middle sibling and second-oldest sister)
5. Molly (born 9th May 2018 realistically/9th May 1964 in-universe, second-youngest sibling and second-youngest sister)
6. Victoria (born 24th May 2021 realistically/24th May 1967 in-universe, youngest sister and youngest sibling overall, not yet born during the events of Alesya's Ballet Lessons)

            Alesya is the third-youngest daughter (second-youngest at the time of Alesya's Ballet Lessons) of Kenneth Fayanov (born 1st May 1979 realistically/1st May 1925 in-universe, father of Alesya) and Eniko Fayanova (née Beltrami, born 13th September 1986 realistically/13th September 1932 in-universe, mother of Alesya).

Here's some information about Alesya in more detail.

            Alesya is a ballet dancer, and entered in the Hazelnut Hills Ballet Academy on 16th April 2019 (16th April 1965 in-universe), being trained by her sisters Miranda and Juliet, and her mother, as well as her auntie Tamara, and her friends and various teachers at the academy. Alesya was shy at first, but she was a very fast learner, excelling in every lesson with flying colours, and even going en pointe fourteen days from when she began, and seven days later, mastering eight consecutive fouettés!

            This amazing feat even amazed some of the older students, and they too helped Alesya in achieving her goals. Her very first performance was on the day before her fourth birthday, and was choreographed to an abridged version of the 1877 version of the "White Swan Pas de Deux" from the ballet Swan Lake composed by Peter Tchaikovsky, and performed at the Acorn Theatre in Hazelnut Hills. The performance was a major success, and helped Alesya become a very elegant ballerina indeed.

            Alesya's grace and technique make her a very popular ballerina among her friends. Later on, Alesya would choreograph her own ballet, titled Stardust set to "Mercury, the Winged Messenger" from The Planets by Gustav Holst for the Junior Ballet Gala at the Acorn Theatre (the events of Alesya's Gala Premiere), keep a very close eye on her sister Molly during a trip to the funfair (the events of Alesya at the Fair), assist her friend Rachael in choreographing her own dance (the events of Alesya and Rachael), and even perform as a contortionist at a show in a travelling circus when one of the junior stars sprains her tail during rehearsals (the events of Alesya at the Circus).

            When news of a performance of Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake was coming to Chesterfield (the capital of the Kingdom of Oberon - a fictional UK-based country which is the setting for Alesya's Adventures) in 2020 (1966 in-universe), Alesya and several members of her academy went on a trip to the royal palace. When several of the dancers either contract a cold, sprain a part of their body or drop out after witnessing the incident, the show is in jeopardy. Luckily, Alesya steps in alongside her friends at the academy, and she manages to save the show!

            The success of the show was further justified because Alesya had been training with the older dancers of the academy to do up to 32 fouettés consecutively. Alesya received an encore both for her graceful dancing in the second act, and for her 32 fouettés in the third act. Both these encores led up to her repeating the same feat in the ballet's fourth act, to which the show was a success. Alesya chose the 1895 version to be performed as she knows it is more consistent compared to the 1877 version, which Alesya describes as "Seemingly all over the place compared to the 1895 version" (this and the previous two paragraphs are of the events of Alesya Saves the Show - which will be a 200 to 300-page full-length novel instead of having around 32 pages like the previous five books).

            Alesya's success in ballet dancing has made her very popular among the repertoire, and her friends at the academy. With every twitch of her tail and precise, elegant movements, Alesya is always willing to dance on stage under the spotlight. Due to her elegance, Alesya has won several awards at exhibitions held by the Hazelnut Hills Ballet Academy, and is managing to keep up a tradition in her family and friends. Whether it be on stage or helping others in need, Alesya is a very sweet and kind squirrel. Alesya can also be seen as a guiding light in helping other young ballet dancers achieve their goals.
