After Chase got head swapped with a llama, Oliver swapped tails with him so he can have a little extra fluff. Oliver is a shapeshifter himself and his shapeshifting works differently than Chase's. When the shibe tail wasn't TFed, it was perfectly stable.

But then Chase got the tail TFed, quite by accident. Now, he's having trouble keeping the shapeshifting tail under control, as you can see here.

Meanwhile, the llama tail that Oliver has started to influence his own shapeshifting but was too caught up in the fluff to notice. At least, not at first.
