Revealing my new character design, "Young-ro (影弩)".
A mythical beast from Korean mythology.

He is one of a Imoogi, a Korean mythical snakes which trains for 1000 years to become a dragon.
Born in 1580, got an extraordinary physical power. But as side effect, always suffer from  a voracious appetite.

I remember that there is also a myth that snakes become dragons after 1000 years of cultivation in China. I would like to ask whether the myth of snakes becoming dragons after 1000 years of cultivation originated in Korea or China.

It's not really sure where it is actually originated. Cause both Korea and China share similar myths like this.
In China, snakes in myth called Jiao(蛟) or Qiú(虯).
And in Korea, it is called 'Imoogi'.

Though it has some difference between Jiao and Imoogi.
In Chinese myth, this creatures are described as child of dragon. But in Korean myth, it is described as wayfaring animal.
