Arilli, after all she's been through, has finally fallen asleep on Ursa's lap. However, Ursa's daughter Ember is a bit jealous of the new bear. Ember's dad, big brother and his friend ("She's not my girlfriend, just my friend!") Molly find it somewhat amusing.

Since Lucky's only 8, likely, he doesn't see girls as anything more than a friend at best and a pain at worst. However, give him a few years and he may see Molly through different eyes.

True, but the more he protested the more we knew, on some level, he felt more about her. By their tweens/teens they were well on their way to a relationship.

I kind of got that idea when I saw another drawing of Lucky in his feral pony form "dancing" with Molly. The look on his face said, "I really like this human girl more than I'm willing to admit to."

What can I say? I'm a guy and I remember my adolescent years. Girls were a PITA but they were interesting to be around. You couldn't live with them but you couldn't live without them. LOL (Of course, having a sister who just lived for aggravating you didn't help my attitude toward girls.)
