There are a few distinct periods of Dot's life. The early years are shrouded in mystery. The middle portion was a never-ending fight for survival , breeding one of the world's best and most experienced killing machines. Dot herself is confused as to what happened toward the end of that period. Despite her reputation being EXTREMELY well-known, (The Unstoppable Beast that prowls the countryside,) bounty hunters, knights, and all manner of warriors began throwing themselves at her.
She understood that warriors enjoyed testing their mettle against ever-stronger opponents, and that good money was placed on her head. That explained SOME of the challengers, but having felled names of legendary status, it was all the stranger when motley crews of bandits and ambitious young warriors threw themselves into the proverbial meat grinder.
She'd beaten entire COMPANIES of soldiers, and several of them lived to tell the tale! (She made sure of that.) Did people just...forget? Did they not believe the stories? So many of these men could barely hold their weapons properly. Not even worth killing.
She never quite figured it out. But at the very least, it meant a steady supply of fresh meat, even if they weren't particularly good challenges.
