This isn't really a parody, but a cover. But people are beginning to look for the parody icon for funny music from me, so...
So, I got to thinking:
What would convince people to buy the new re-mastered CD of "The Sound And The Furry" if they already had the old one, other than they can get it free for only a $5 postage and handling fee provided they can provide proof that they bought the old one?
How about a few bonus tracks? I have a number of tracks of funny songs and parodies done by Dipper, which I plan to release as a separate CD at some point, but throwing a few on this CD won't hurt, especially if they are covers of songs or poems done by others.
This is the first. This song was written by Grant Baciocco otherwise known as Throwing Toasters. He personally granted me permission to cover this song (it's Creative Commons, so I didn't really need it, but it was nice to get it, anyway) and seems almost written for Dipper. Don't you think?
Always remember to say 'Please' and 'Thank you'
When you're taking candy from a stranger.
Alway remember to do what your parents say.
You can do whatever you want when they're not around.
It only takes thirteen digits to call India.
Stick a fork in the microwave and set it to thirty minutes.
If you draw on the living room wall with a blue crayon
It will give you the power to fly.
There's lots of tasty things to drink under the sink.
Why not go and give them a try?
Old people are really easy to push over.
Have you ever watched TV in the bathtub? It's fun!
Spend some time visiting with your grandma
And tell her the family's betting on when she's gonna die.
Spend some time playing with your little brother
And convince him he's got the power to stop a moving vehicle.
Sneak up and scare daddy while he shaving.
Tape record mommy when she's yelling at you
And play it back when she's got friends over.
Please don't do anything that I've said in this song.
Unless you really wanna be cool.
