Accidentally stabbed himself with a dagger he was gifted by a family friend while shuffling things around on his bed. Went to wake Mom up about it. She freaked out at first but upon noticing Eli wasn't, just decided to go back to sleep.

Poor baby! The smell of blood still sets me off to this day from some past junk but, glad that you are finding an outlet for these feelings
