Just in case some don't get it - the Story of Thomas the Tank Engine in Book/Story Form is 80 years old, not the TV show cartoon/computer cgi animation is 80 years old. Technology back then could not do what the show had for its animation. Hell, TV back then was still in B/W/Grey format, not color!
Not your fault, people are dumb that way. Many still think that the world is flat to this day.
