After the reference sheet for Ezin was finished, I wanted a character sketch that reflected him in my world of the "Midgard Island". ^^
So I asked Drago to draw a sketch for me. He has also drawn the wonderful "Captured Dragon" illustration for me for my "Order and Chaos" story ^^
Here Ezin is standing at the island's cape, outside of Maria's house. It is a lush meadow filled with flowers and fauna. It appears to be a special place on the island, given that a mysterious fog surrounds the cliffs beneath, blanketing the perimeter of the island's cape in clouds. It is said that this "white mist" is connected somehow to the island's voices that ring out at night, but Ezin has yet to discover the truth of it all.
The island's cape is also where Maria and Ezin first discuss their theories about the island, as well as Ezin sharing small bits of information about why he's really here, mingled in with his growing feelings for Maria.

"Ezin - The main character of my new SFW story. He is based on the Ezin character that Simon drew for me quite a few years ago. But, I made a completely original character based on my old idea. This is also where the idea of the "Midgard Island" came from - there will be conflicting lore/facts based on what I wrote in that submission from 2022, but nothing too out there. The new story I will publish will completely overwrite whatever I posted about the "old" 2022 Ezin. Yeah, it's set in the same world as my novel series. (I'm sorry, I really should republish that... XD).

Honestly, it's a really good character profile that I wrote in the past. It is true that the "lands are treacherous, and it is little more than an island that surrounds the raging sea". Honestly, when I was writing the Midgard Island story - well, firstly, I started writing my new SFW work in October 2024. I wrote a lot more in Feb-March 2025. The story is 60% done. But to be quite honest with you, I never even looked at the old description to check. It is amazing that I already knew exactly how the location looks XD.
But it is a really good profile, so I should try to re-write it, and add it to the new submission."

New description: Ezin Character Profile
Ezin – a mercenary for hire who was raised in the upper echelons of Unchantis.
Life has never blessed Ezin favourably during his younger years - Ezin was born in a noble family and he had trouble fitting with them, not to mention the numerous cold shoulders he would endure from warrior men and mercenaries alike when he was a eager young boy. The knowledge of other peoples’ doubts and indifference laying heavy in his heart, Ezin had a difficult childhood indeed.
But there was always one dream that drove him forward, one sliver of hope that he latched onto – the dream of adventure. There is little reason to travel to Midgard – unless you are a merchant, or are on a mission for adventure.
As for Ezin, he readily accepts the mysterious contained within the royal missive addressed to him, and heads forward towards the island.
Adventure… That very word called out to Ezin, and he knew that he belonged to no place in particular; he would much rather roam the land and meet people along the way, dealing with situations as they come. As the youngest son from his wealthy family, Ezin all too often had his questions ignored, and little attention was diverted to him. Thus he took the difficult task of wringing the reigns of life at the tender age of 15 summers, when he was but a whelp, in both body and mind. When he first acquired employment and accumulated enough savings to last him for a few months of travel, Ezin was out of the city faster than the speed of light, and the regret he feels is none.
But, for some reason, he feels that this mission to the island will be his last...
The VN style story will come with custom illustrations so I have decided to have the characters designed first ^^
What inspired the creation of the story "The Tale of Midgard Island"
I am writing a new story for my community. This one is about a dragonborn mercenary tasked with investigating an 'evil island' for unknown reasons. But when he arrives there, he meets a woman that he falls in love with.
I have been writing such stories for two years, but for this one, the quality really surprised me, so I decided to go all out.
A "VN style story" is a story which I write which is read with animated text, illustrations, sounds and music which conveys the emotion directly to the reader.
