Something tells me the only case of her appreciating any flirting would be a right time/right place scenario. And most people always get the timing wrong.

Indeed. It's one thing to try and pick up ladies at a bar, another to try while they're at work. Creepiness isn't determined by the creeper, but by the creeped on.

I'm glad I checked the keywords before I asked if Manuel/Manny/Mr. M was a maned wolf. Since they're from Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay(?), it makes sense that he has a Hispanic name. (The reason I put the question mark after Uruguay is because I can't remember if they're native to that country, too.)

ehehe I'm glad you noticed ^_^ It's fun to make little nods like that. I feel like it adds some roots in reality and gives the characters a bit of intrigue.

Thanks. When I learn about a, to me, new animal, I try to learn as much about them as possible simply because I may have need of using it in one of my stories. Also, I find it adorably interesting that all three of the ladies call him by a different name. It gives me the impression of how they feel emotionally toward him. Manuel says that she considers him to be an acquaintance, perhaps a friend, but nothing more. Manny says that she considers him a friend and hopefully more. Mr. M says that she respects him, has an interest in him, but doesn't know how to approach him. Of course, I could be way off-base in that analysis. LOL

That's true. Of course, the fennec (I never can remember character names.) gives the vibes I mentioned in the third panel, where we can see her in the background noticing Manuel. In the last panel, she's suddenly in the way, looking at him with what I see as shy happiness.

In my story, "There's No Way", I use a lot of words from non-English languages as family names, i.e., Karhu (Finnish for bear), Fuchs (German for fox), and Sobaka (Russian for dog), to name a few. Sometimes, if I decide that a character is from the country their family name is from, I'll choose a name from that language. I like doing that because, as you said, it adds roots in reality.
