Knuckles was eventually resized to normal. He went over to Tail's workshop to both ridicule him for putting him through Rouge's playful torment and to call him a nerd for that extra insult. Tail's was expecting a hothead like Knuckles to get angry for his mistake, but also knew that he would make fun of his genius. He blasted him again upon Knuckles entering the shop with a sly smirk on his face which then sent Knuckles all the way back to Tikal. Tikal was near one of the temple gardens meditating about ways to help her people with economic and constructive task as their Princess. Tikal kicked her sandals off and began hovering her feet over them, completely unaware that Knuckles is directly below her and on top of them, forced to watch her swing her feet over him. Already climbing up such large feet at one point as a test of proof, he decided not to attempt it again and waited inside of her sandals to hide out until the effects of the blast returned him
