ive literally never heard of any backlash to this song until way later, i got introduced to it through the verbose edit and thought it was funny, that and my generation basically grew up on the same exact type of song apparently it's literally just because it "sounds bad" when i know of 10 million worse songs that have gotten popular and that includes every godawful meme of 2024, but tiktok calls it bad and i dont use that app at all so maybe these people just exist for reactionary hate or something (but at the same time i had a deep hatred for Watch Me Whip Nae Nae when i was a kid just because i got really tired of it on the radio, and being the first song i ever became a music snob towards realizing how desperate it was to go viral, i dont know where im going with this besides I Just Think This Creature Is Neat) i can almost understand it if the hate was towards it feeling kinda pandery, like someone trying to fake the nostalgia without going through it, but i don't get that strong of a bad vibe from the song and it's just a neat oc design
look he's still stuck in my brain and im surprised no one matched the old-internet mascot with the old-internet kinks, unless anyone else has drawn him as a pear in which case hhhhhhh please show it to me i wanna give em so many hugs
