Any mention of his hometown brings a flood of memories from what he calls his "first life."
He never waits for permission—or protests—before diving into something reckless.
He has a deep fear of the ocean and avoids it completely; the vast unknown beneath the waves terrifies him.
Background/History
Nellot is a young Otter-folk who grew up in a riverside village. Seen as good-for-nothing by his peers and even his parents, he was often left behind in life, with only one true friend who cared for him. That friend died during a brutal bandit attack—sacrificing himself so Nellot could escape. After the attack, Nellot fled with a few other survivors and helped rebuild the village. However, his community began to blame him for the death of his friend, looking at him with growing contempt.
One stormy night, as Nellot tried to help during the chaos, he was struck by a falling tree and swept into the river. He lost consciousness after hitting his head against the rocks. When he awoke, he found himself deep in the sea, struggling to breathe as he drowned. Desperate, he prayed to anything that could save him—before everything went black.
He later woke up on a beach, alive but changed. His memories were fragmented: he remembered tentacles, a mysterious pact, and now possessed a gem linked to his new patron, along with a strange hourglass.
