This is a re-edited version of the promo music video for illitheas – Last Forever (Intro Mix) that features two stunning animated short films: Lunette (by Phoebe Warries) and The Life of Death (by Marsha Onderstijn). Unlike earlier versions, this one preserves the full emotional arcs of both shorts, especially The Life of Death, which was originally cut short.
While some may find the ending “too sad,” I believe that sadness is exactly what makes it beautiful. The Life of Death isn’t about fear—it’s about compassion, grief, and the quiet strength of restraint. To remove the ending is to take away Death’s humanity (ironically) and the message that death can be gentle, even kind.
