markus is one of, if not, THE best espionage unit in the entire team, and was unfortunately, the test subject for the death tank, which, just like the exo armor from gi joe renegades, twisted the user's mind to lose all proper self control, leading to constant acts of violence

Background/History
markus never truly cared about anything in the world other than three specific things all tied to the relatives and family page: his love interest, impressing his boss, and consistently getting his pay on time. after finding out homelander caused him to accidentally knock up his girlfriend, markus would go on to volunteer for the death tank prototype, which unknowingly led him to becoming a violent masochist, leading to the infamous new york city slaughter show, which wiped out 69% of the population, and had to be permanently purged of the death tank's effects with a concussion that almost put him in a coma, whilst he did get back into the hero factory in a matter of hours, this begged the question to check whether or not the new owner could have been trusted
