I guess because I just can't BS myself during those times. I wanted a simple depiction of my toony bunny self that still looked like it had some depth. I also knew where I wanted to be, compared to where I am, which gave me an immediate focus and theme for the picture. Having that locked down freed me up to just concentrate on the feeling going on inside. This picture is about sadness, longing, and hope. Without such a strong emotion, it's easy to muddle a picture, or not be able to decide on what to do and make mistakes second guessing one's self.
