Some genius wizards figured out that it's because pieces of the living, whether blood or brains or what have you, are still partially touched by the living aura of their owner and so found a way to infuse it into some products. Vita-brau is a beer infused with a bit of a living aura so the undead can enjoy it without painful gagging and vomiting.
