I was given permission to colour this devious drawing of Laphicet sealed in a bag and suspended from nothing.
I'm gonna be real with you all, I never truly understood why some artists would ever feel unsatisfied with a decent looking product they've decided to share with the world.
You know how it goes... You as the viewer think the artwork looks great but then you read the description and the artist is there going on about how they aren't happy with how it turned out and how disappointed they are, but decided to share it anyways. Am I the only one who thought that was weird?
Well, now I get it. Honestly, I don't think this piece looks that bad, but that's probably because the artist did a fantastic job with the line-work. He's a really talented artist and really nice guy for letting me try to bring a bit of extra life to this piece with my colouring. I really tried with this one, but after several days just trying to do the background alone, I realized that this wasn't going to be my best colouring. I didn't even try properly shading the plastic.
But I got it done, and I like how it looks. I didn't add much, but at least it's now here for anyone to enjoy... nearly two weeks late...
