Kit looks around his room as he searches for something to try the app on, deciding not to try it on himself, at least not before he run a test. The 17-year-old’s eyes then land on a black Wolf Spider sitting in one of the corners of his room, Kit is one of the few people who likes spiders and finds them fascinating. As the teen looks at the spider, an idea pops into his head, and without thinking about the consequences of his “idea”, Kit had already scanned the spider and begins to alter the animal’s file.
The teen first decides to increase the spider’s size from 0.79 inches long and 0.39 inches in height to 6 feet 6 inches long and 5 feet 9 inches in height, which will cause the spider’s eyes to be level with Kit’s eyes. In addition to increasing the spider’s size, Kit decides to give the animal human intelligence and the ability to communicate with humans.
Kit looks up at the spider and decides that the first change should be the spider’s intelligence, after selecting the order of the changes, the teen confirms them, stepping closer to the spider.
At first nothing seems to happen, but then Kit notices the spider seem to look around the room, “um… mister spider… can… can you understand me,” Kit carefully asks.
The spider’s head turns and seems to stare directly at Kit, “human… have you got something to do with whatever the hell is going on,” the spider asks, it’s voice high but with a noticeable rasp to it.
“Um… my name is Kit,” Kit says, “I’d… I’d like for you to crawl from the wall and take position in the center of my room, on the carpet. I promise to explain everything to you”.
The spider seems to narrow its eight eyes, hesitating a little, “why do you want me to do that?”
“Um… y-you’ll be to large for the wall soon… and… and I don’t want you to get hurt in some way,” Kit says nervously, the spider already looking a little bigger than before.
The spider still doesn’t move, “I don’t trust humans,” it says, “you humans HATE us and always step on us!”
“Please, mister spider, sir,” Kit says, his voice sounding pleading, “please, I swear! I will not harm you in any way! I… I love spiders! I find your kind fascinating!”
The spider continues to hesitate, but as it feels its size continuing to increase, and by the concerned look in the human’s eyes, the animal starts to crawl from the wall.
Kit sighs in relief and steps back, sitting down on his bed to give the growing animal room.
“So, will you explain what is going on,” the spider asks, already reaching Kit’s knees and still growing.
“Of course,” Kit says and begins explaining everything to the spider.
By the time Kit has finished explaining, the spider’s size has increased, almost filling out the medium sized bedroom, “so, you are telling me,” it says, its voice louder and deeper, “you used a app on your phone to transform me into a… monster, just because you thought it would be “cool”? Have you any idea of what you have done?! How other humans will react when they see me?”
“Um…,” Kit says, blushing as he realizes the mistake he had made.
The spider lets out a snort, shaking its head, “humans,” it says.
“I… I’m sorry, mister spider,” the teen mumbles, “I… I didn’t think. I… I guess I was just to excited and curious to… um… care”.
The spider uses one of its front legs to “facepalm” itself, “that goes to show how DUMB and STUPID humans are,” it says, looking at the teen, “it surprises me that your kind has managed to survive. I mean… with all the stupidity your kind does, destroying this planet, all those wars, constantly fighting…,” the spider shakes his head, “before I wouldn’t care… now with all I know, thanks to your “brilliant idea”… I’m beginning to ask myself if your kind is even worthy to ruling this planet, let alone be allowed to LIVE!”
Kit feels fear raise in him at those words, the teen gulps as he stares at the fangs of the large spider.
“I… I’m sorry… sir,” the teen mumbles quietly, “I… I better… I better revert the damage I have done!”
