Dossier #703

Darkwitt's magics and understanding of it has always been a bit lacking. As he travelled, it became clear he needed a better understanding of the arcane. After Incanta volunteered he meet with a few magical institutions to better expose himself, he came across a proclaimed 'deity in training.' Despite his age, Artemis was still working toward eventually taking on the mantle of a deity for a small pantheon. It gave him pause. How could there be multiple pantheons for deities? Was it truly polytheism, or were they simply high powered entities parading with dogmatic intentions?

Later Incanta admitted there wasn't a significant amount of magical institutions in Darkwitt's dimension so she had to 'shunt him next door.'

He's yet to ask if Incanta was actually from his dimension in the first place, but concluded it was better left unsaid.

Artemis seemed thoroughly uninterested in the aspects of worship and attention that would come with his role. Years after Darkwitt's first introduction to Artemis, the water elemental would later visit him asking for a tour of his operations. He took fascination with Darkwitt's organization and, for a short time, willingly set aside his deity powers to experience drone training and service under Darkwitt. Oftentimes parading as his alter ego (see dossier: Deeto) Nowadays, his responsibilities to his deity training take precedence, but artemis visits from time to time to have deeper philosophical discussion about theology and the spirituality behind it. Though it's rare Darkwitt is able to convince Artemis to do small things for his organization. Each time Darkwitt asks why Artemis doesn't help more, Artemis simply responds that 'Some turmoil is best left to play out.'

A troubling implication to say the least.

-----
Artemis has been around with me for about 8 years now. The time I've spent with him has often been exploring games and story ideas. we kind of oscillate between his water elemental and his dumb jock otter.  (though he's been due for an update to the design.)
