Character Sheet for Tumaini
Character Description
Tumaini shares a lot of similarities with her older sister, Jasiri. Sharing almost the exact same color palette, although hers is a bit lighter and more saturated.
Personality
Hopeful, clumsy, and a bit naive at times. She tries to see the good in everybody, staying hopeful even when things look bleak. Her naive nature comes from the fact she's tried to befriend the likes of Scar and Janja, leading to... Unsavory results. Jasiri is usually the one swooping in to grab her by the scruff and saving her, but Tumaini INSISTS she can do things on her own!
Background/History
The Lion King: Tumaini was recruited alongside the other Hyenas during Scar's coup, in his words; "She's small, but moldable." implying he could train her to be just as tough as the likes of Shenzi and her group, or the up and coming Janja. He'd exhaust her to no end; forcing her to hunt alone, testing her endurance, making sure she knew it was a kill or be killed world.
...Somehow, he couldn't break her spirit. While not 'good' by any means, she remained hopeful that he, Scar, could change. She took every test of strength and ended up exhausted, but her hope never diminished.

The Lion Guard: Since she's not being pushed to the point of exhaustion, Tumaini is free to be as clumsy and hopeful as she wants! Much to her sister's dismay. Jasiri has to continuously lead her away from Janja's Clan, insisting to the cub that "they won't change, especially not like that."
Tumaini listens until Jasiri goes off to hunt with the other hyenas in her clan, the cub regularly sneaking off to try and convince Janja and his clan that he can be better. She usually gets threatened or chased out (sometimes more), but that hasn't stopped her yet! She knows about the Lion Guard, but doesn't fully understand what they do.
