Page 6 ~

Aiza attempted to get a feel for Caedyn's temperature.  Perhaps he felt sick or something, she thought.

With her soft white hands initially on the boy's fuzzy cheek and forehead, Aiza suddenly noticed an instantaneous lack of his presence.

That squirrel scrammed faster than you (and she) could even blink!!!

All part of the legacy of the squirrel race, they know how to flee, and quick.  Especially the shy ones like Caedyn.

Unknown to Aiza, Cae had silently fled up the stairway and off to the second floor bathroom.

And now, that squirrel boy was out of her sight.  But Aiza had a promise to keep.

"Where'd he run off too?" she pondered in slight frustration.

The hide-and-seek had now begun... how many places could a squirrel boy run off too?  How many rooms could be in this house?

She'd locate him.  Her acute nose and sharp eyesight, gifts of her long feline heritage, would lead her to Caedyn.
