When you are a giant nerd, digging into obscure fossils to talk about something with friends, and discover there seems to be NO paleo-art of the species you're discussing, what do you do?  Draw your own, of course! The is Acteosaurus, a sort of "cousin" of the first snake.  It does still have legs, but only just.

I love paleoart of obscure species, I've actually done several pieces with very little fossil material or information😭
Its genuinely a challenge but I definitely enjoy it a lot, gotta better give light to lesser-known species!!

It's VERY fun! Yes drawing famous species is fun too, but there really is something about digging into the bones and constructing it for yourself without even the possibility of seeing somebody else's take on it.

I like getting creative with recons sometimes, but obviously stay loyal to the original fossil material and maybe closely related species (if they so happen to be drawn by other people or have very good preservation)

Doing paleoart is a really fun hobby not gonna lie LOL
