Birch heard Dipper singing along to this song, and got that look on his face he gets when he's thinking too hard.
A few days later, he asked Dipper to come down to the recording studio, for a bit, and they recorded this. Dipper had to sing all four parts. He got a whole box of cookies for his effort. Don't tell his mom.
But when Birch played it for the rest of the family, Dan, Aurora and Stargazer all said "No!" Almost in unison.
Birch sighed, and left dejected.
The next day when Bobby was over to play, Birch pulled him aside and played it for him.
"They're right. Dipper should not be singing this."
Birch sighed, and put it in a growing stack of unreleased songs.
Dipper got a copy of it, though, and he doesn't mind playing it for friends. You're his friend, right?
