What is Unseen Primal?

Unseen Primal is a sister series to Steele n Friends and Unseen War. It is an Alternate timeline where the Age of the Dinosaurs never ended and yet the land tore asunder by unknown means but the dinosaurs thrive even after this event. New sapient races from the Dinosaur humanoids known as the Pangaeans, Also called Saurins thrive and survive the lands. Other groups include The Cynoeas, A race of canine folk just like in Steele n Friends and Folwilliar's Western and Atlantic series. Human tribes mostly consist of Norse and Celtic influences.
These people try to survive the brutal primeval land that is Jordgard (Jörðgarðr)

******
When the Gods gave life to the realm of Midgard, An race of aliens came to Jordgard to build an establish a base of operations, The names of these aliens have been forgotten and are only known as the First ones or the Elder things. They are barrel-shaped beings with faster light travel and were technologically advanced. They came during the Phanerozoic eon and established contact with the Primordials (Aesir, Vanir, and Old Ones) Gods. One of these Primordial ones, the shapeless (Loki) lures the Great Old One Cthulhu and his horde upon the nameless planet. The Aliens and the horde would clash and this war was waged from the Ordovician period to the Permian Period when the war ended with the Great Dying extinction event, Ushering in new life not so long after and the start of the Mesozoic era began.

Cthulhu and his spawns were put in eternal slumber and the First ones died out. The Era of dawn had arrived and the saurins evolved to sapients. The Republic of Pangaea would be founded and unified the saurin race as a whole. Mid-point Jurassic period, A rebel faction to the republic, the Separatists of Old Laurasia founded by the ancestors of Littlefoot would wage war against the republic. The reasoning has been lost to time as of currently but these two fought against each other until the Great Cataclysm tore the supercontinent apart, not only ending the war between the two civilizations but bringing an end to the Mesozoic era and bringing in the Kylozoic era which goes on to this day.

The surviving saurins would split off into many groups base on their location on the world. One group of Pangaeans would rise from the ashes of the old world and founded the Laurasian Empire, made up of surviving members of the Separatists of Laurasia, they are an Imperialistic authoritarian whose goal is to tame the wilds of Jordgard, Not just New Pangaea.

Unknown to the saurian people, A new race would rise from the shadows of Jordgard, The Cynoeas, A race of canine folk of all shapes and sizes commonly found throughout the planet and most infamously a new Civilization known as the Axefang Imperium. Founded by Galamor in 200 I.E only for some of the Cynoeas to fight back and established their own clans scattered throughout the planet from Marcelyne to Issgord.

Unknown to either of the two beasts, another race rose in Valkaria, the Continent on the other side of the planet, Humans, They live a Hunter/gatherer life until some of the elders made communion with the Outer Gods and founded the Valkarian Warriors of Darkness in 250 I.E. It wouldn't be until 295 when some of these humans fleed from Valkaria. Some went to the south to the land of Arcticus and founded Nordheim, becoming the Norse like Nordheimr people. Those who sailed to the west and founded Atlantis became the Atlanteans and lastly south from Atlantis but not too far are the Seltic people.

These people only have one goal and it is to survive, It is 410s I.E. Jordgard is ravaged by constant bloodshed from the verdant ground of Alfardyr to the Coast of Gondwana to the dark lands of Arcticus to the sands of Vaconis. All seek survival in these wildlands with dinosaurs and other prehistoric beasts roaming as if they never went extinct.
--------
The Pangaeans (or Saurins) are the first race to evolve on Jordgard, They appear in most shapes and sizes based on their genus, The Tyrann are pagaeans that belong to the Tyrannosaurid family and resemble Tyrannosaurus rex that stand about six to Six-five feet tall. The Spinans are one of many humanoid sapient species belonging to the Spinosaurid family and their cousins, Baions who resemble Baryonyx. Both of thrive in swamps and are built for an aquatic lifestyle.

The Azhdarchidans are an elusive and mysterious race of Pangaeans that resemble the Azhdarchids Pterosaur genus who are said to have been given life by the mysterious Old One known as the Wyrm of the Northern Wind. (This entity also exists in Steele n Friends as well). An enigmatic entity who assumes the form of an Azhdarchid Pterosaur. They are spoken only as myths to the people of Jordgard. Even to the other Pangaeans on the planet.

The Cynoeas are the second race to evolve during the early years of the Kylozoic period. They appear as humanoid canines (as seen in Steele n Friends) that have appeared throughout the planet without explanation as many saurin scholars are coming up with theories as to how these canid folk came about but none of them really know how they came about but regardless The Cynoeas worship the Aesir and Vanir gods and refer them by different names depending on the clans or region they reside. Like the saurins, there are many breeds of cynoeas from the desert dwellers of the Solaris (Salukies) hounds and the Vaconis (Afghan) to the Forest born Acheronian Wolves and Pomeranians of the north regions of Pangaea.

The Horde are three races native to Vaconis such as the desert-dwelling Alasians that resemble a blend of Deer and man who live in the Dunes of Stygia, The Short green Goblins who dwell in the caves of Amazonia while the Orcs keep to the jungles that divide the Savanna and the Deserts. The Alasians, Orcs, and Goblins are related and came from Jotunheim after fighting in a war against the Jotnars. They split into their three groups after Malacore removed them from Jotunheim. Malacord is a malevolent entity that the orcs worship while the goblins worship the Evil Moon entity and the Alasians keep to the worship of the Great Old One Yig. What Malacore or the Evil Moon is isn't certain.

The youngest of races on Jordgard who evolve on in the land of Valkaria are humans. They're an hunter/Gatherer people when they became corrupted by the Crawling Chaos. For a long time, These humans worshiped the Outer Gods until in 300 I.E when some of the humans escaped their native home and sailed outward, Some of them fleed to the far south and became the Nordheimr and founded Nordheim while others found themselves on some isles and called themselves the Seltics and the Atlanteans. The Seltic are analogous to the ancient Irish people and the Atlanteans of Atlantis are based on the Proto-Germanic people of the real world and serve their monotheistic god Crom, a cold and uncaring god who only wishes for man is to fight and to survive. There is a sect of humans known as the Scions of Winter who build their Bronze Age level civilization of Old Valenheim northwest of Valkaria and also live alongside the Cynoeas known as the Alfardyrian (Arctic) Wolves. They worship the Bastard daughter of Odin named Anilia who came from Alfardyr with her sister in between 200 I.E and 215 I.E as part of an expedition when she rose to power after uncovering her godhood. She led an assault against her old clan and ascended as a full Aesir god that the Scions of Winter worshiped. While not as ancient as the Pangaeans or diverse as the Cynoeas or even the denizens of Vaconis, Humanity has slowly but surely made their mark on Jordgard.

Lastly the Lothians of Loth-lora and the Undead, The lothians are a race of intelligent Mothmen located on the isles of Loth-lora Northeast of Vaconis and keep to themselves. They rose to power when their goddess Greya came from the stars with a basket of fruits to feed the first moths her fruits. Those who ate her fruits became the first Lothians.

The Undead came about when the first Undead the Witch king embraced the word of Hel and became her eternal champion and not long after he and Hel would raise the fallen dead Norheimr and Valkarian people and enroll them into the Infamous Varagir nation with the Witch King at the helm but yet there is one rule, Only those who were utterly evil in life were granted this curse to become the undead.

There are two supernatural forces at play and can sometimes influence Jordgard's events. The bastard Aesir god Lilly ascended to Godhood after She failed in battle against her mortal father and killed her but yet from her ascension, She created a realm,  Rauðr-ríki or the Red Reality. While it wasn't her intention, Many creatures native to her personal realm would come from her blood such as the Vadrigor, a demon species that blends both a goatish appearance with reptilian features, larger Ghidoran, golden scale draconic like demons. The Shu'ulathoi are the equivalent to Odin's Valkyrja but appear like grubs with wired limbs that enforce the will of their "Mother". Yanus is the son of Lilly, A towering god that carries a massive sword made from diamonds and whose draconic wings, are powerful enough to blow winds so strong that they knock the foes off of their feet. He is the Aesir god of Slaughtering and conquest and is viewed as a messiah by the followers of Lilly.

Even more elusive are the Demons lords and their Arch-demons of the nine circles of Hell, While extremely obscure by the mortals of Jordgard, even to the Old Ones and the Nordic Gods. The demons of Hell only exist to punish those who lost their way to Helheim thanks to a deal Odin (the only Aesir to know of Hell) made a deal with Lucifer that if the rebel angels aided the Aesir and Vanir gods, Not only they want Hell to be part of Yggdrasil but any souls from Helheim could be taken to Hell for punishment. Reluctantly Odin agrees and since then Lucifer and his "Fallen" Angels kept to themselves. That doesn't mean that Hell demons won't interfere with mortal affairs from time to time. (A lore essay detailing these events will come.)

Unknown to the people of Boristen, the current Jarl Steele is rumored to be a follower of Lucifer but it's only a rumor as of now. If they feel like it, Hell Demons can come to Jordgard to wreak havoc but they don't except on extremely rare occasions when they have in the past but that's a story for another time. Demons of the 5th circle serve Satan and are manifestations of the sin of anger while Demons that serve Moloch from the 7th circle are manifestations of Violence. The unfortunate damned souls regardless of species (Human, Cynoeas or even Orc) are tormented until they are needed as cannon fodder for the armies of Hell. Not all Arch-lords get along as Asmodeus and his 2nd-circle demons will sometimes fight against Moloch and his 7th-circle demons.

-------
There are four core pantheons popular in Jordgard, The Old Ones are popular with the Pangaeans and some cynoea groups, Ak'coa is the most important figure in this religion and is viewed as the saurian Odin.

The Aesir and the Vanir are two sets of gods part of the Asgard and Vanaheim Pantheon respectively and are popular with the Cynoeas and the humans. The people of the Seltic Isles worship the Vanir gods but they know them as the Tuath Dé. The name Danu is just their name for Freya. As mentioned above and for the last time, Lily is considered an Aesir god but born on Earth and is viewed as a Goddess of Death and War by the scions of Winter that dwell in Old Valenheim.

The Third and the most ancient Pantheon is the Outerdark Pantheon which consists of the Lovecraftian entities that are alien to the common mortal. The Outer Gods in truth are truly evil nor are they good but rather some of them are indifferent to Mortals. Azathoth the Blind idiot god is the first of these Outer gods but no one, not even the Asgard gods knows how it came about. It remains dormant in its eternal sleep with several servitors playing their horrid flutes to keep it asleep while its spawns Nyarlathotep (who goes by the name Crawling Chaos) and Ku-Krog are some of the few who are actively malevolent.

The Crawling Chaos and Ku-Krog are popular gods worshiped by the Valkarian people and the Axefang Cynoeas due to their more understanding motivations. Then the Great Old Ones and no they are not connected nor related to the Old Ones but are lesser descendants of the Outer Gods. They are giant alien beings from other worlds that act on behalf of the Outer Gods, Examples include the Blooded Volkerh and the dreamer Cthulhu. While Cthulhu sleeps in his corpse city of  R'lyeh located west of Pangaea and North of Arcticus, Volkerh is active and resides in his realm known as the Realm of Black Magic (Its true name isn't known), Volkerh is worshiped by Axefang Flesh-priest and is responsible for the reason why these corrupted hounds utilized Fleshborn monstrosities in both battle and in labor.

And there's the after-mentioned Lucifer and the Demon lords of Hell and aren't as known to the mortals of Jordgard as mentioned above. While looking for allies in the fight against the Crawling Chaos, Odin encounters Lucifer and the rebel angels on his travels and aids them against God and won. Turning Heaven into Hell and the Garden of Eden becoming the lake of Pride. The Tree of the Knowledge of good and evil is located at the center of Lucifer's palace where it is sealed in an unbreakable cage with Lucifer being the only one with access to it. Only .2 percent of the population of Jordgard take part in the worship of Lucifer and as mentioned above some members of Boristen do take part in this practice with Steele being whisper to worship Lucifer but there isn't too much proof of that.
--------
The world of Jordgard is brutal, dark and savage with several groups of peoples and tribes fighting to survive so that they can live another day.

Yes there are a lot of concepts, names, and even characters reused from Steele n Friends into this world and why is that, Think it this world as a branching timeline of the events of the creation myth. There are two timelines, the first one that is the Steele n Friends timeline and there is this one, the Unseen Primal Timeline. I'll explain it in a separate essay when I have the time but for now, I hope that you enjoyed this short essay about Unseen Primal.

A summery of locations within Unseen Primal
The Dunes
This is a summery essay about the Sister series to Steele n Friends call Unseen Primal, a Pre-historic fantasy inspired by Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal, Conan the Barbarian and somewhat by Folwillar's Western and Atlantic series. A dark and gritty alternate world known as Jordgard where the events of Unseen Primal takes place where the age of the Dinosaurs never ended nor did an asteroid clash upon the Earth.

I hope you'll enjoy this short essay and if you have any criticism you may place them down in the comment section. Thank you for reading this.
