A cold planet scarred by a decades old war and forgotten by the wealthy and powerful, still trying to stand on its own two feet.

I've been slowly working on my Vigilantes of the Ark setting, and trying to flesh out the actual world it takes place on. A decade before the events of Vigilantes of the Ark, a full scale invasion took place on this world. After a gargantuan struggle, the invaders retreated off planet. What was left were broken skyscrapers and crumbling streets. Years later, reconstruction still takes place, but the wealthy elite are losing patience with these massive projects. With the rebuilding slowing down and investment leaving the planet, the inhabitants have to make do with what their own communities can scrounge up from the upper classes. Against this backdrop, government sanctioned Vigilantes (Vigs) patrol the streets to fill the gap left by the undermanned planetary militia. Corruption and profiteering by these Vig groups leaves many dissatisfied. One such group of disaffected are the protagonists of this story, all brought together to this city with the goal of trying to bring their community back together amidst the violence. If it requires pushing back against the systemic violence of the wealthy, that'll just have to be what happens.
